Rheocasting – Opportunities for Casting Quality and Process Sustainability
Tuesday, November 25, 2025 – 2:45 PM to 3:40 PM | Free Webinar
Technological innovation of GISS in die casting and economic/environmental impact assessment
Rheocasting represents one of the most promising evolutions in die casting. The new GISS (Gas Induced Superheated Slurry) technology makes it possible to obtain high-quality castings without modifying the mold or press layout, simplifying the process compared to other semi-solid techniques.
In addition to metallurgical advantages, GISS Rheocasting opens new perspectives in terms of economic and environmental sustainability, reducing energy consumption, waste, and the overall carbon footprint.
During the webinar, the following topics will be presented:
- The principles and technical advantages of GISS technology in die casting
- The economic and environmental assessment of the process using MAGMA ECONOMICS, the tool that enables objective comparison of alternative production scenarios
Program:
- 2:45 – 3:00 PM – Introduction to the webinar – by Sinfonet
- 3:00 – 3:20 PM – A new life for Rheocasting with GISS technology – T. Botter, Mambretti Metalli
- 3:20 – 3:40 PM – Economic and environmental sustainability with MAGMAeconomics – G. Scarpa, EnginSoft
Participation is free upon registration to receive the access link via form.
