Critical Raw Materials and Industrial Residues: The Final STILLMETALEVO Conference in Vicenza
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, the final conference of the STILLMETALEVO project will take place at the University Campus in Vicenza. The event, organized by SINFONET in collaboration with Veneto Green Cluster, will showcase the project's key achievements and explore new horizons for an increasingly circular and sustainable steel industry.
From Research to Industry: Technologies for the Circular Economy
Funded under the PR Veneto ERDF 2021–2027 program, the STILLMETALEVO project brought together universities, research centers, and local businesses. This event marks a crucial opportunity for technology transfer and open dialogue on how to integrate the developed solutions into real-world manufacturing processes.
Key topics of the event:
-
Process and technological innovation: A focus on aluminothermic and thermomechanical processes for the recovery and upcycling of industrial residues.
-
From lab to shop floor: Practical case studies, experimental findings, and concrete opportunities to reuse recovered materials in new production cycles.
-
Competitiveness and regulatory evolution: Current challenges in the steel supply chain, business needs, and the evolving regulatory framework for the circular economy.
The conference will feature contributions from representatives of the Regional Innovation Networks (RIR) SINFONET and Veneto Green Cluster, professors and researchers from the University of Padua, and partner companies involved in the project.
