The free webinar “Cost Model and LCA in Foundry”, organized by SINFONET, offers an in-depth look at the management and optimization of casting production costs through the analysis and application of a cost model developed specifically for foundries, as well as the environmental assessment of casting production.
The tool, entirely developed in Microsoft Excel, details the structure of Cost Centers and allows calculation of the cost of each casting based on data from the production sheet. The model can be used both during the quotation phase and for monitoring actual production costs, also in combination with process parameters.
An LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) application will also be presented to quantify CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, and environmental impact along the “Cradle to Gate” production path.
